    Norwich v Crystal Palace

Norwich City will be without defender Elliott Ward, who is suspended after picking up his fifth booking of the season during Saturday's draw at QPR.

Left-back Adam Drury returned after a hamstring injury to play in that game, but was taken off with a calf problem and will be assessed.

Palace can include striker James Vaughan, who has served a suspension.

But defender Claude Davis begins a four-match ban after being sent off in the derby against Millwall.

If Saturday's visit to leaders QPR was a test of Norwich's credentials, then it was one they passed. Despite the end of a remarkable run which saw the Canaries score in 32 consecutive away matches, their performance in the 0-0 draw at Loftus Road suggested that they are capable of sustaining a promotion challenge.

They might even have ended the Championship's only unbeaten record had Wes Hoolahan not missed a first-half penalty, with Grant Holt also unlucky not to break the deadlock.

City are third, and the form book suggests they have a good chance of a rare win against Crystal Palace. They have won only one of their last 11 league matches against the south London club, who are struggling badly at present.

Palace are one off the bottom of the table, and Saturday's loss against rivals Millwall was their second successive home defeat and another setback in what has been a miserable start to George Burley's reign as manager.

    • Norwich and Crystal Palace have met 100 times. They have each won 42 of those games, with 16 drawn.

    • A goal for Palace would be the club's 150th in the league against the Canaries.

    • Norwich have won all four of the Championship matches this season in which they have scored first.

    • They have won 22 league games in 2010 - more than any other team currently in the second tier.

    Crystal Palace

    • Palace are without a win in six matches.

    • They have failed to score in 11 games this season - more than any other team in the division.
